Prodia Collaborates with IHH Healthcare Malaysia to Strengthen Medical Tourism Between Indonesia and Malaysia

JAKARTA, 28 July 2022 - PT Prodia Widyahusada, Tbk and IHH Healthcare Malaysia signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) that aims to provide a more convenient patient  journey with comprehensive treatment options to Prodia customers seeking medical treatment at Gleneagles Hospitals, Prince Court Medical Centre and Pantai Hospitals in Malaysia.

The event took place at the Prodia Tower Auditorium, Jakarta and was attended by the Vice Minister of Health of The Republic of Indonesia, Dr. Dante Saksono Harbuwono, Sp.PD (KEMD) Ph.D., President Director of PT Prodia Widyahusada, Tbk., Dr. Dewi Muliaty, M.Si., together with the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) of IHH Healthcare Malaysia, Sipika Singh, as well as the board of directors of Prodia and representatives from IHH Healthcare Malaysia.

The Vice Minister of Health of the Republic of Indonesia, Dr. Dante Saksono Harbuwono, Sp.PD (KEMD) Ph.D., in his opening remarks supports the cooperation between Prodia and IHH Healthcare Malaysia as an innovative and strategic movement for both Countries.

The COVID-19 pandemic has accelerated public awareness on the importance of health services. Medical tourism is an upcoming lifestyle trend with increasing potential in the future. This allows people to travel abroad to obtain more extensive treatment options including general check-up, in-patient hospital services, and rehabilitation. This collaboration between Prodia and IHH Healthcare Malaysia is expected to optimize the management of patients who require clinical laboratory examination services before and after consulting a doctor so that patient management is more convenient and comprehensive.
