ANTI-MULLERIAN HORMONE (AMH) TO PREDICT AGE AT MENOPAUSE
Menopause is a natural period that will be experienced by every woman. When it occurs, the menstrual cycle will be halted for 12 months (amenorrhea). The stages of female reproduction begin with the reproductive period, menopausal transition and final stage of postmenopause.
Those three periods will be experienced by every woman at different speeds. Menopause can be divided into two groups, namely early menopause (if the menopause occurs before the age of 42 years) and late menopause, with an average of the last menses (final menstrual period [FMP]) occurs at the age of 51 years.
The period of menopausal transition up to the first year when your menstruation stops is commonly known as perimenopause. This period will be characterized by a progressive reduction in fertility, menstrual cycle disorders and vasomotor disturbances.
