We're building an intentionally small, autonomous and nimble team. Everyone on our team is technical and commits code. We plan and scope all our work together, with a different team member planning and running each cycle. We maintain a transparent company culture - everything from balance sheet and runway to sales pipeline gets shared with the whole team. We also all write about what we're building on our Journal.

What you'll do
Shape our backend architecture
You'll work on some of our most complex technical challenges and help others do the same. You'll help decide how we build things and what we prioritise as a product and engineering team.
Create a stellar developer experience
You'll help make sure the experience of building with Plain second to none. You'll play a key role in everything from how we structure our data model through to designing our APIs and writing documentation.
Shape our backend architecture
You'll work on some of our most complex technical challenges and help others do the same. You'll help decide how we build things and what we prioritise as a product and engineering team.
Qualifications
- 4+ yrs industry experience in software interface design
- Experience designing technical products or developer tools
- Experience working closely with engineers
- Proven user-centric design process
- Experience working on small, nimble teams
- Experience running quantitative and qualitative research, with usability testing, analysis, interviews and field studies
