Prodia is committed to environmentally friendly operations in accordance with regulations and sustainability principles. All waste, both medical and non-medical, is managed responsibly and adheres to strict standards. Liquid waste is treated through a Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP), while hazardous and infectious medical waste, such as syringes, bandages, biological materials, waste contaminated with pathogens, and used chemical or reagent packaging, is handed over to a licensed third party for disposal in accordance with regulations and under the supervision of the relevant authorities. For non-medical waste, such as paper, plastic, and domestic waste, Prodia applies the 3R principle (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) before disposal at the final disposal site.
In addition to waste management, Prodia also reduces the environmental impact of its daily operations through the use of energy-efficient electronic devices, regulating clean water consumption, reducing paper use, and utilizing biodegradable materials. Several branches have adopted basic green building principles, emphasizing energy efficiency, water conservation, and consistent implementation of 3R practices.
These efforts not only focus on waste, but also aim to reduce the company's carbon footprint, reduce energy consumption, and lower greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. All initiatives are implemented with the active participation of all employees, who play a role in creating an environmentally friendly work culture. Furthermore, this commitment is outlined in Prodia's Sustainability Blueprint 2024–2030, which serves as a strategic guide targeting sustainable waste management, energy efficiency, GHG reduction, and the development of future green innovations.
Through these steps, Prodia is determined to create more responsible operations and make a real contribution to supporting environmental sustainability and climate change mitigation.
Prodia implements employment practices in accordance with applicable laws and regulations, while striving to provide best practices in human resource management, as employees are a vital asset that determines business success.
In the area of Occupational Health and Safety (OHS), Prodia is committed to creating a safe, healthy, and comfortable work environment for all employees. To this end, Prodia has an OHS policy that is consistently formulated, implemented, and monitored to comply with labor standards and related regulations. This policy has the full support of the Board of Directors and is disseminated to all stakeholders, especially employees.
Awareness of the importance of occupational safety is continuously enhanced through various internal programs that adhere to OHS regulations, including training to strengthen safety awareness. Prodia also implements an Occupational Health and Safety Management System (SMK3), which is periodically evaluated by external parties to ensure its effectiveness.
Prodia is committed to continuously contributing to social and community development, particularly in the areas of health and education. This commitment is exemplified through various health screening programs, support for scientific research, and educational development initiatives in the medical and biomedical fields.
Thalassemia Screening
The thalassemia screening program is one of Prodia's social initiatives focused on public health. Thalassemia, a catastrophic disease caused by a blood disorder, requires early detection for appropriate treatment. Through this program, Prodia helps communities in various regions in Indonesia recognize the signs of thalassemia and raises awareness about the importance of early screening. The thalassemia screening program remains active and represents Prodia's tangible contribution to the health sector.
Dementia Screening
In 2026, Prodia relaunched its free dementia screening program for 20,000 participants aged over 50 years old, as a response to the strong public enthusiasm and participation demonstrated during the 2024–2025 implementation period, which successfully reached nearly 40,000 participants across Indonesia. Through this program, participants undergo initial screening using the AD-8-INA questionnaire, followed by a MOCA-INA assessment conducted by Prodia physicians for individuals identified as having indications of cognitive impairment. Participants whose results indicate an “at-risk” score are subsequently referred for further examination and consultation with neurologists or geriatric internal medicine specialists at Prodia Senior Health Centres located in Jakarta, Surabaya, and Makassar.
