Company Profile

Prodia was first established in Solo on 7 May 1973. Prodia’s commitment to providing the best test results ultimately led Prodia to become the best and largest Clinical Laboratory in Indonesia.

Since 2012, Prodia has been the only clinical laboratory in Indonesia accredited by the College of American Pathologists (CAP). This means the quality of Prodia’s test results is on par with international laboratories.

Milestone

  • 1973

    Established as the simple Laboratory on 7 May 1973 in Solo.

  • 1975

    Developed services in Jakarta and Bandung.

  • 1990

    Pioneered and conducted international cooperation with the National University Hospital - Singapore and Specialty Lab (now Quest Lab) - USA

  • 1999

    Became the first clinical laboratory in Indonesia to get the ISO 9002 certification.

  • 2001 - 2005

    Became the first laboratory technologist to acquire the competence certificate from National Board for Professional Certification (BNSP).

  • 2008 - 2010

    • Established the Prodia National Reference Lab (PNRL) and became the first clinical laboratory in Indonesia to obtain SNI ISO 15189 accreditation.
    • Successfully won the Top Brand Award with the highest rank for the first time.

  • 2011

    • Established ChildLab in Jakarta to provide clinical laboratory services specifically for children.
    • Became the first clinical laboratory in Indonesia to get the NGSP certification for the HbA1c examination.

  • 2012

    Became the first clinical laboratory in Indonesia to successfully obtain accreditation from the College of American Pathologists (CAP).

  • 2016

    • Listed its initial public offering (IPO) on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) on 7 December and managed to obtain funds of IDR1.14 trillion.
    • Inaugurated Grha Prodia Surabaya as Indonesia’s first green building concept clinical laboratory.

  • 2018

    Launched the Next Generation Lab and Prodia Genomics Lab.

  • 2019

    • Renewed the Laboratory Automation System at the Prodia National Reference Center Laboratory.
    • Implemented the Laboratory Automation System for Autonomous Disease Examination.
    • Launched genomic tests including DIArisk, TENSrisk, Nutrigenomics, IMMUNErisk, and VASCULArisk tests.

  • 2020

    • Officially became the first private laboratory in Indonesia to use the fully-automated tool, Cobas 6800, for COVID-19 RT-PCR. • Launched Immunohistochemistry screening for lymphoma cancer.
    • Launched Prodia Wellness Genomics, Bone, Muscle & Joint Genomics to Detect Various Risks, and Prodia Skin and Hair Genomics.
    • Launched Teleconsultation service.

  • 2021

    • Launched Anti-SARS-COV2-Quantitative (S-RBD) testing for COVID-19 Survivors.

    • Launched Prodia Mobile app version 3.

    • Launched Neurogenomics, Eyegenomics, and CardioPGx tests.

  • 2022

    • Launched the Prodia for Doctor application.
    • Launched the Home Service booking via the Prodia Mobile app.
    • Signed an MoU with the IHH Healthcare Malaysia to support medical tourism.

  • 2023

    • Launched the U by Prodia health application.
    • Awarded a MURI Record for the Company’s CSR, the most participants in free genetic testing for people with rare diseases (Odalangka) in Indonesia
    • Organizing national seminars in 50 cities.

  • 2024

    • Acquired a 39% stake in PT Prodia Diagnostic Line to strengthen the medical device supply chain
    • Established 3 genomic centers in Indonesia to enhance service quality.

  • 2025

    • Purchased 30% shares of ProSTEM, a company engaged in stem-cell based regenerative therapy.
    • Launched the Prodia Clinical Multiomics Centre (PCMC).
    • Expanded strategic with partners in several countries, including Taiwan, Malaysia, and Timor Leste.
